1. Objectives: One key to achieve a better design is the analysis of the mechanical and fluidic device behaviour with 3D and 2D simulation tools.2. Mechanical Analysis: The 3D modelling of our atomisers with the Coventorware software: simulation of the mode shapes in particular the piezo resonance during spraying. Comparison with the vibration measurements by a Polytec Scanning Vibrometer.
3. Fluidic Analysis: 2D modelling of the droplet formation for one nozzle. This model has been realized in collaboration with the CFX Berlin Software GmbH (see below the movie file).
